Jane Oliver from Ravivworks in Galashiels held Scotland’s first ever BAL-A-VIS-X training in Melrose from 22nd to 24th June 2012. Today Jane, her children Christopher & Eloise plus her American and South African guests Bill, Barb, Ashton, Briana and Barbara joined Borders Journeys for a tour of the Tweed Valley and Rosslyn Chapel.
Our tour started in Melrose then we travelled through the beautiful Tweed Valley to Rosslyn Chapel. Following morning refreshments overlooking Roslin Glen, we joined a guided tour of the chapel. The diverse history of the chapel was fascinating. Afterwards there was a ‘photocall’ in the chapel grounds.
After a short drive we had lovely lunch at Whitmuir Farm at Lamancha. The food and service were first class. Borders Journeys would certainly recommend a visit to the restaurant, farm shop and art exhibition.
Travelling back to Melrose we stopped off to allow Bill, Barb, Ashton, Briana and Barbara to visit the grounds and take photos at Neidpath Castle. Borders Journeys thoroughly enjoyed sharing the history, beauty and culture of the Scottish Borders with Jane and her guests. Borders Journeys hope to that everyone has a safe journey hope and would be delighted to meet them again sometime.
