Galloway Country Fair is held annually at Drumlanrig Castle at Thornhill in Dumfriesshire. The castle is the home of Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch and Queensberry. Attracting exhibitors and visitors from across the country, Galloway Country Fair is one of Scotland’s most successful country events. Throughout the weekend Drumlanrig Castle will remain open for visitors.
From Melrose we travel to Peebles through the beautiful Tweed Valley then onto Biggar. Heading south from Biggar we head from Lanarkshire into Dumfriesshire via the Dalveen Pass onto Drumlanrig Castle. We return to Peebles and Melrose via Moffat, Grey Mare’s Tail and St. Mary’s Loch.
Leaving from the Abbey Car Park, Melrose at 8.00am and Peebles VisitScotland Office at 8.45am with agreed pick-ups en-route. Leaving Drumlanrig Castle at 5.00pm. Returning to Peebles approximately 7.30pm and Melrose approximately 8pm. Drop offs as requested.
Please note that this tour will go ahead with a minimum of 5 passengers.
