Falkland, St. Andrews and East Neuk of Fife

We recently provided our tour guide services to Abbey Tours Scotland by taking a group of visitors from Belgium to Falkland, St. Andrews and the East Neuk of Fife. The tour was to be a day to relax and unwind as several of the party had participated in the Edinburgh Marathon the day before.

The day started by collecting our visitors from their Edinburgh hotel. Our first stop was at South Queensferry to view of the Forth Bridges. Arriving in Falkland there was time to browse around the pretty village before touring the renaissance palace and its beautiful gardens.

We arrived in St. Andrews in glorious sunshine. Following lunch, the afternoon was spent exploring the historic town by visiting the castle, cathedral, university buildings and golf course. No visit to St. Andrews is complete without a visit to Jannetta’s Gelateria for their delicious ice cream.

Leaving St. Andrews we travelled back to Edinburgh along the coastline of the East Neuk of Fife stopping at Anstruther, Pittenweem and Elie to take photos. The day ended with a tour of Edinburgh’s New Town.
