Some of our recent tours of Scotland & Northumberland

Dan & Sarah’s Honeymoon Trip to the Borders

Glasgow, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National ParkDan & Sarah from California are visiting Scotland for the first time on honeymoon. Sarah organised the private tour for Dan to visit the region associated with his family name, Scott. Although Dan’s family have been researching the Scott family name, they have been unable to make a connection specifically to the Borders.

For Dan & Sarah’s tour we organised visits to Scott’s View, Wallace Monument, Melrose, Abbotsford, Selkirk, Ettrick & Yarrow Valleys and Traquair House. Dan is passionate about Micro Brewery Ales and was keen to sample Traquair’s ales – he wasn’t disappointed!

Dan & Sarah thoroughly enjoyed their day with us in the Borders – Sarah said “Thank you, thank you, thank you for a wonderful day – the tour exceeded all of our expectations

Mr & Mrs Rohrich’s visit to the Borders

Mr & Mrs Rohrich at Rosslyn Chapel

Mr & Mrs Rohrich from Hannover in Germany are on their first visit to Scotland. Having spent a week in the Highlands they decided to book a private tour to visit the Borders.

Mrs Rohrich’s favourite author is Sir Walter Scott with Ivanhoe being her favourite novel, Abbotsford was therefore a priority to visit. As well as visiting Abbotsford, we arranged for Mr & Mrs Rohrich to visit Rosslyn Chapel, Traquair House and Melrose.

At the end of the tour Mrs Rohrich said that she’d enjoyed her tour in the most beautiful part of Scotland.

Glasgow, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park

Kristof and Annelies at BalquhidderWe were joined by Kristof and Annelies from Belgium on our Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park tour. Kristof and Annelise are on their first visit to Scotland. Kristof is a football fan, therefore we took a detour to show him Celtic Park. Not to feel left out, we took Annelies to the Peoples Palace and Doulton Fountain to take photographs.

The tour continued to Loch Lomond where we stopped at Luss. We had lunch at Killin after visiting the Falls of Dochart. The afternoon was spent visiting Rob Roy’s grave at Balquhidder, Hamish the Highland Cow at Kilmahog, Callander and Doune Castle.
